The goal of the project was to build a website that authentically reflects Dr. Robin’s multifaceted identity and life journey. As a doctor, founder, digital health expert, lecturer, and public figure, his work spans medicine, innovation, education, music, and social initiatives. The website needed to present not only his professional background, but also his values, philosophy, and personal milestones in a clear and meaningful way.

From a technical standpoint, the project was relatively straightforward, as the website was designed as a lightweight, content-focused platform built with Next.js. However, the true challenge lay in the responsibility that comes with creating a personal website from scratch, especially for someone with such a rich, active, and impactful life journey.

This responsibility was even greater given our long-standing relationship with Dr. Robin. The website needed to accurately represent his ideology, operations, and personal story. Dr. Robin’s background includes founding initiatives in healthcare, lecturing and mentoring, engaging in music and cultural projects, and making a deeply personal decision to leave his life in France and return to Armenia to contribute to the country’s development. Translating all of this into a cohesive digital experience required sensitivity, precision, and a deep understanding of his vision.

Another area that required attention was animation. The website relies on subtle motion and transitions to guide users through content. These animations needed to feel smooth, uninterrupted, and natural during scrolling, without distracting from the content itself.

We approached the project holistically, starting with branding and visual identity. For that our UI/UX designer worked closely with Dr. Robin to understand not just what content needed to be presented, but how it should feel. The goal was to create a thoughtful digital presence that mirrors his personality and philosophy.

The website was developed using Next.js, ensuring fast performance, smooth navigation, and a modern structure. It is multi-language, supporting Armenian and English, allowing Dr. Robin to communicate his story to both local and international audiences.

To address animation performance, we invested time in testing and fine-tuning transitions, scroll behavior, and timing. 

The project was delivered by a small team consisting of one UI/UX designer and one Full Stack Developer. The designer worked directly with Dr. Robin to shape the visual identity of the website. The Full Stack Developer implemented the design using Next.js, paying particular attention to performance optimization and animation smoothness.

They two worked in parallel to each other to ensure quick launch and successfully delivered the website in nearly a month.

The Vicken.am website was launched successfully and is now live, serving as a digital reflection of Dr. Robin Vicken Ohannesian’s life, work, and values. It presents his journey in a clear, engaging, and respectful way, highlighting his professional achievements, personal initiatives, cultural contributions, and commitment to Armenia.
