1

Context

As we know the fashion industry has a huge negative impact on the environment. So, Recu.shop is here to lessen the damage by preparing end-of-life apparel for reuse. It has adopted the circular economy, coming with 5 circular cycles – refresh, revive, repair, DIY repair, refashion. Cooperating with various Brands and Retailers, Recu.shop team gathers unsold and broken pieces of garment, then groups and processes them in accordance with one of the circular cycles. At last, with a novel touch they are put on the website for purchase.

2

Challenge

The project is neither complex, nor troublesome, and there have not been significant challenges in the way. However, the client wanted to see the MVP ready within a short period of time in a cost-effective way.

3

Solution

We have chosen WordPress with WooCommerce because it is a less time-consuming and more affordable development solution in such cases.

4

Development Process

We have built Recu.shop from nought. The first step was the design creation. After the client’s approval, we set up the shop according to the Figma design. Our work has been done following Scrum methodology in sprints. Before each sprint, we have a meeting with the client to review what has been done and plan for the next sprint.
Recu.shop is still in progress. Now, it’s all about bug fixing.

5

Result

We have almost a release-ready product that will be in production soon.
