Ayscan is a mobile and web-based platform that connects printed media with interactive digital experiences.

The mobile application allows users to scan images in books, magazines, flyers, and other printed materials to instantly access additional information about brands, products, and services.

Alongside the mobile app, Ayscan includes a web application with a powerful template builder, enabling marketers to create customized mobile screens for any scanned image within minutes. Using pre-defined templates and drag-and-drop elements users can design, edit, and instantly preview interactive mobile experiences without any coding.

When we began collaborating with the client, the template builder and key parts of the website were incomplete and poorly functioning. After successfully delivering an initial portion of the template builder, the client was highly satisfied with the results and trusted us with continuing its development and fully rebuilding the website from scratch using modern technologies and scalable architecture.

Before BeeWeb’s involvement, Ayscan faced multiple barriers:

Developed a custom template builder from scratch with modern UI/UX — supporting multimedia components such as audio, video, image galleries, maps, and social integrations.

Replaced legacy technologies with a scalable stack including Node.js / NestJS backend, Next.js frontend, and PostgreSQL + MongoDB for optimized and flexible data handling.

    🔹 Reliable Media Processing Infrastructure
Improved image transfer mechanisms to third-party services using a queue system and event-driven process handlers to ensure stability and consistency.

    🔹 Scalable Performance Optimization
Ensured the rebuilt platform delivered high performance, scalability, and reliable multimedia scanning experiences across devices.

    🔹 Dedicated Engineering Team
In the first stage of the development we started with1 backend and 2 frontend developers. They worked in parallel: one focusing on the template builder as a separate service and the other on authentication flows and core pages.

    🔹 Queue & API Foundation
Backend work included producing a complete API documentation (Swagger UI) and designing queue mechanisms for media processing.

    🔹 Quality Assurance Integration
A QA Engineer was added mid-project to ensure robust testing, bug detection, and improved release quality.
